The number of top-10 individual finishers out of a 16-team field at the Bird Dog Invitational golf tournament in Carl Junction. Both Cason Bekemeier and Griffin Frey finished in the 70s. Bekemeier tied for fifth with a 74, and Frey finished seventh with a 76. Republic finished sixth overall in the team standings.

The number of times Tyler Burks has been hit by a pitch this season. According to the MSHSAA record book, that’s the 17th-most hit-by-pitches in a single season. The all-time state record is 31, set by Zeb Roos of Lindbergh in 2017.

The percentage of Republic’s runs Gavyn Beckner had a hand in producing during the Tigers’ 3-0 win over Joplin. Beckner drove in two runs and he scored the third run, and in addition to that, he pitched a complete-game shutout, allowing just four base hits to the Eagles.

The number of overtime wins by the Lady Tigers on back-to-back nights this week. Republic knocked off Willard on penalty kicks Tuesday, making all five its kicks as Graci Coleman made the game-winning save in goal. The next night, Republic got a sudden-death game-winner from Kendra Phiri to knock off Joplin 2-1.

The new school record time in the 4x800m relay. Miha Nambara, Gracie Troester, Misora Nambara, and Kristin Probst set the record at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar Monday. That topped the previous mark, set last year at state, by about three seconds. The old record was held by Nambara, Nambara, Probst, and Jasmyn Douglas.
