The Tigerettes dance squad finished their winter competition season at the Missouri Dance Team Association state championships in St. Charles on February 26. The team finished third in the Precision Dance category and fourth in the mix category.
Six Republic dancers were also recognized for academic excellence: Bryiar Callaway, Georgia Davis, Josie Fry, Claire Johnson, Kloey Monthei, and Avery Zinter.
The state competition followed an earlier performance at the Missouri State Sugar Bears regional competition. The Tigerettes placed first in the mix category in that event, and third in jazz.
Two soloists placed at the regional competition: Callaway was first in junior solos and Monthei was fifth in senior solos.
