Republic’s Tigerettes dance team earned several honors at their recent state competition. The team placed third in the Hip Hop category. Lillie Porter won sixth place as a soloist. Ava Lewis placed ninth as a soloist.
In addition, seven members of the team earned recognition as academic all-state. Senior Avery Zinter; juniors Josie Coppedge, Presley Peck, and Apryllmari Clark; and sophomores Sabella Howard, Lewis, and Porter were each honored at State competition last week.
