Throughout the fall season, Republic Tiger Sports recognized a Performance of the Week on its social media feeds. Here’s a recap of the weekly winners, presented by Team Wear Solutions!
September 13, Mara Lakey
Against Carl Junction, Mara Lakey slugged two home runs and drove in eight runs – more RBIs in a game than anyone in Repmo softball history – and it was our Team Wear Solutions Performance of the Week!
September 20, Elsie Crawford
Elsie Crawford showed she was the best player in the Republic Tournament last Friday, and it wasn’t even close. Crawford cruised through the top singles bracket, winning all three matches. And out of the 25 games she played, she won 24 of them to win the singles championship. In a week where she and the Lady Tigers overmatched every opponent, her domination on Friday was our Team Wear Solutions Performance of the Week.
September 27, Miha Nambara
In the history of Republic girls cross country, there’s no record of anyone running a race in less than 19 minutes – until last weekend at the East Newton Invitational. Miha Nambara’s time of 18:57.78 was 15 second faster than her previous best, which itself had set a new school record. Her record-smashing performance was our Team Wear Solutions Performance of the Week!
October 4, Jackson Kilburn
Jackson Kilburn scored five goals – including three in less than two minutes in the first half – to lead Republic’s JV team past Joplin, and his scoring frenzy was our Performance of the Week!
October 11, Avery Moody
Republic scored five touchdowns in a rout of Carl Junction, and quarterback Avery Moody had a part in all five. He rushed for four touchdowns and threw for another – an early TD strike to Gunner Ellison that set the tone for the night. In all, Moody rushed for 227 yards and racked up more than 260 yards in total, and it was our Performance of the Week!
October 18, Kendall Curbow
Republic’s defense showed signs of continued improvement against one of the most powerful offenses in the state at Carthage. And in the middle of their strong performance was sophomore linebacker Kendall Curbow. Curbow recorded six tackles to lead the team and seemed to be all over the field Friday, and it was our Performance of the Week!
October 25, Connor Sandridge
Connor Sandridge rushed for three touchdowns – for 17, 81, and 61 yards. He finished with 197 rushing yards in Republic’s win over Branson, and it was our Performance of the Week!
October 25, Bryce Martin
Swimmer Bryce Martin won medals in both his events at the Southwest Missouri Championships. Not only that, but he set school records in both events (the 200-yard individual medley and the 100-yard backstroke), and his performance was our Performance of the Week!
November 8, Gracie Troester
When Gracie Troester crossed the finish line at the Class 5 state cross country championship, she was ahead of every other freshman in the field. Her finish, 32nd overall and first among the Class of ’25, was our Performance of the Week!
