Republic Tennis Sweeps Nixa to Stay Spotless in COC

Republic tennis stayed perfect in Central Ozark Conference play with a home sweep of Nixa Wednesday. The Lady Tigers won all nine matches, opening with three solid doubles wins, then sweeping singles play.

In doubles, Jasmine Howard and Izzy Wells put up the most impressive results at #3, winning 8-1. In singles, Abby McCord won her #3 match 8-0, and Mia Stan won at #5 by an 8-1 score. Elsie Crawford, at #1, won 8-2.

The win was the first sweep of Nixa in program history. Republic has won five of the last six matches against the Eagles.

The Lady Tigers are 8-2 overall, and they’re 6-0 in the COC. They travel to Joplin for another league battle Thursday.
