Lady Tigers Earn Ten Medals at Girls Night Out

The Republic girls track team won three relay medals and seven individual medals at the Girls Night Out track meet in Springfield Thursday. Thirty-five schools competed, with the top eight finishers in each event earning a medal.

Jasmyn Douglas was the top finisher for Republic, taking second place in the 800-meter run. She finished in 2:30.73, and was the top finisher among southwest Missouri runners. She finished behind Karlie Wooten of Liberty.

Douglas was also a member of the 4×800 meter relay team that took third. Douglas, Kristin Probst, and Miha and Misora Nambara finished that race in 10:12.22 – nearly a second better than their winning time at the Branson Invitational last week.
