Republic’s two state golfers fell short of all-state recognition at the Class 2 tournament in Joplin Tuesday. Both posted higher scores in Tuesday’s difficult conditions. (Photos below.)
Clara Fronabarger finished with a two-day total of 188, tying for 31st overall in a field of 72. She shot a 96 on day two.
Regan Holmes finished with a 193, including 98 on the second day of play. That put her in a tie for 37th.
For both Holmes and Fronabarger, it was their second season as state qualifiers.
