Republic won every match from the varsity down to the JV levels in its tennis conference opener against Neosho. The 9-0 sweep began with Senior Night ceremonies for the Lady Tigers, who honored Sedalia Shumaker, Lauren Ueligger, and Wrigley Cook for their contributions to the program.
All three seniors contributed to the varsity win. Shumaker teamed with McCord to win the #2 doubles match, then won her singles match over Claudia Martenson 8-1. Ueligger and Cook teamed up to win their doubles match, and for Cook, it was her first varsity win. Republic won all three of the varsity doubles matches 8-0. On the singles side, Jasmine Howard, Abby McCord, and Morgan Lewis all won without dropping a game. Anna Davidson also picked up her first career varsity win.
The JV team swept all six of its matches.
The Lady Tigers are 2-3. (JV is 2-0 after beating Nixa Monday.)
Republic is back in action Thursday at home against Carl Junction.
