Republic wrapped up its inaugural girls swimming and diving season Saturday by earning points in two different events at state competition in St. Peters. Mady McCrea finished 11th in the 200 individual medley, and Karissa Metzger finished 16th in the same event.
In the 100 breaststroke, Metzger matched McCrea’s finish in the IM, taking 11th.
In the 200 IM, McCrea bettered her previous best time by .61 seconds. Metzger swam her best time in the prelims Friday.
In the breaststroke finals, Metzger finished slightly slower than in her prelim, which had been her best time to that point.
The Lady Tigers finished 33rd in the team standings in Class 1.
