Five Tigers Capture Top-Four Finishes at Fort Zumwalt South

Jonathan O’Connell brought home another tournament championship to keep his perfect senior season alive. O’Connell improved to 36-0 with a win over Hayden Trezek of Francis Howell in the championship match of the Fort Zumwalt South Invitational. He won a 5-1 decision to take the 145-pound title.

Wyatt George lost just his second match of the season in the championship round of the 106-pound bracket. He dropped an 8-5 decision to Alex Turley of Webster Groves. George is 32-2 to start the season.

Connor Sandridge was runner-up at 160 pounds. His only loss was to undefeated Trevor Wilson of Hannibal in the finals. Sandridge is 25-7 as a freshman.

Gabe Hesington finished fourth. He lost the third-place match at 132 pounds to Zachary Godar of Fort Zumwalt South.

At 138, Isaiah Madson finished fourth. He advanced to the third-place match before losing to Aiden Shy of Fort Zumwalt East.
