Off the Field: District Choir

We’ll step Off the Field to take a closer look at some of the Republic students who are competing in non-sports activities. Our report is brought to you by State Farm Agent Sarah Rader. Talk to her about how you can save money by combining your home and auto insurance.Nearly 40 Republic High School Choir students will be competing at state on April 25. Thirty-nine students received Exemplary (1) ratings at district competition last weekend. The judging standards from the Missouri State High School Activities Association say a 1 rating “consistently demonstrates true musical expression and few technical errors. The performance is worthy of the distinction of being recognized as among the very best.”

Five Republic students––Kira Allen, Megan Sly, Ravin Paterson, Steven Brymer, and Tristan Brown––received 1 ratings in all three events in which they competed. Seven others––Madylon McCrea, Elena Hunter, Noah Brous, Elisabeth Creech, Parker Woods, Ariana Givens, Philip Lisun––received two top ratings.

The following 39 students received Exemplary (1) ratings and will be competing at State April 25:
