The site of Republic’s most enduring football memories, the stadium at the corner of Hines and Hampton, is coming down this week. Crews have begun demolishing the bleachers and locker rooms at the old stadium, which had gradually fallen into disrepair over the last several years. For now, the site will remain a green space.
