Tennis Tigers Win Home Tournament

The tennis Tigers defended their home court again, and continued their nearly flawless season with another nearly flawless performance. Republic won its home Republic Invitational Tournament, losing only two matches all day, to edge Bolivar for the team title.

At #1 singles, Dylan Mackey got second place, losing to Bolivar.
At #2 singles, Isaac Jordan won, beating the #1 seed from Carl Junction in the finals, 8-1.
At #1 doubles, Hunter Creek and Brett Carpenter finished second. They lost to Bolivar in the finals.
At #2 doubles, Logan Elder and Austin Massey won 8-4 over Forsyth to win their bracket.

RepublicTennis 2018 Apr 27At Joplin Friday, Lucas Hayes and Jack Cook were doubles champions of the Joplin JV Tournament. They beat Ethan Ragsdale and Coby Berry in an all-Republic final.
