Three freshmen and a sophomore brought home medals for Republic at the Bolivar Cross Country meet Tuesday. Freshmen Jasmyn Douglas and Jazzy Kirby led the way for the Lady Tigers, taking 8th and 9th place respectively. Sophomore Lawson Tunnell finished 18th, and freshman Lydia Davis was 25th. All four earned medals.
Miku Nambara finished just out of the medals, behind Davis in 26th. Nai’imah Sharpe and Julie Rogers also ran for the Lady Tigers.
All of Republic’s boys finished near the middle of the pack in a field of nearly 90 runners. Josiah Creech was the top finisher for the Republic boys, in 51st, followed by Luke Ellis, Owen Davis, Carson Neff, and Scott Parker.
