Baseball Tigers Take Underdog Role into Districts

The Tiger baseball team will face an uphill battle in the district tournament next week — and that’s just in the opening round of the tournament.

Republic is the #6 seed in the six-team district (Class 5, District 12), and opens with a game against #3 seed Joplin. They’ll play at 1 pm on Saturday, May 13.

The winner of the Joplin/Republic game will meet #2 seed Carthage on May 15 at 7 pm. The district championship game is May 16 at 5 pm.
