Republic lost their Central Ozark Conference opener at Carl Junction Thursday night in straight sets, 25-20 25-17.
Lauren O’Hara and Rachael Combs had nine kills apiece to lead Republic. Eryn Russell contributed nine digs to the defensive effort. O’Hara also had a couple of blocks.
Republic falls to 9-4 this season. They’re 0-1 in the COC.
