The Lady Tigers played their seventh game in five days Monday, but they had just enough left in the tank to squeak by Cassville 1-0 on the road. Marlee Scroggins, making her first start of the year, earned the victory with six shutout innings. She struck out four, allowed two hits, and didn’t walk a batter.
The only run of the game came in the top of the fifth inning after two were out. Allie McAtee was hit by a pitch and Lauren Strobel walked. Caty Eby singled home McAtee to make the score 1-0, and Scroggins made the single run hold up.
Eby and Alyssa Roth had the only two hits for the Lady Tigers.
