The Republic tennis team overcame a slow start to edge Neosho at Ozark Tuesday, 5-4. Republic lost two of three doubles matches but rebounded to win four of the six singles matches to grab the overall victory.
All six singles matches were close, with the competitors within two games of one another. The closest match was a tiebreaker victory by Heather Georges in the #3 singles slot. Georges defeated Mandy Merideith 8-6 in the tiebreaker to grab the victory.
