The Republic Lady Tigers outscored their three opponents by a combined score of 23-1 at the pre-season jamboree Saturday. Republic beat Rogersville 10-0, Walnut Grove 9-1, and Nixa 4-0.
In the opener against Rogersville, with the varsity lineup on the field, Lauren Strobel led the way with two doubles in three at-bats. Emily Hall had a hit and drove in three runs, and Caty Eby contributed two RBIs. Rachel Rook pitched three scoreless innings, striking out three and allowing just one hit.
Against Walnut Grove, the Lady Tigers scored nine runs on just four base hits, with the help of four walks and three Walnut Grove errors. Marlee Scroggins allowed one run on three hits in three innings of work.
In the JV finale against Nixa, Megan Thorne and Alexis Zaragoza each had two hits to lead Republic. Liv Collier did not allow a base hit in her two innings of work.
