Republic took three individual titles at the Nixa Invitational track meet last week, including two events in which they captured both gold and silver.
Jerney Jones and Colton Mease finished 1-2 in the long jump. Jones jumped 21′ 1.25″, and Mease jumped 20′ 4.25″.
Tryston Ellison and Jones finished 1-2 in the 100-meter dash. Ellison ran the race in 11.08, and Jones finished in 11.2.
Haven Lander won the pole vault, clearing 10’6″.
Other top-four finishes for Republic: Aleigha Balk-Adank took 3rd in the 400-meter dash; Colton Mease finished 2nd in the 400-meter dash; Madi Appleberry finished 2nd in the 800-meter run; and Jerney Jones took 2nd in the 200-meter dash.
The girls 4×200 relay (Fergen, Appleberry, Molly Zinecker, and Lander) took 4th. The boys 4×200 relay (Thomas Brewer, David Feil, Mease, Ellison) finished 3rd. The girls 4×100 relay (Autumn Garner, Appleberry, Zinecker, Lander) finished 4th.
