The Lady Tigers tennis team honored five seniors in the best possible way — with a shutout win over Clever in their last home match of the 2014 regular season. Republic cruised to its sixth consecutive victory with only one player losing more than one game in singles play.
Before the match, Republic honored seniors Michaela Moore, Brittney Marshall, Ashley Cameron, Jocelyn Carpenter, and Ta’lor Sandul. Moore, Sandul, and Cameron have been on the tennis team for four years.
Kaytlin Pearce recorded an 8-0 shutout to lead the way in singles action. Moore, Sandul, Cameron, and Carpenter each won 8-1. Brittany Thompson went to 9-7 before winning her singles match.
