The Republic cross-country team dominated its home meet with Reeds Spring Tuesday, claiming three of the top four finishes in the varsity boys race, and all four top spots on the girls side.
For the girls, Megan Hergesheimer finished in 21:07 to claim the victory. Madison Appleberry finished second at 23:59, Emily Griffith was third with a time of 24:22, and Sara Wilken placed fourth, at 24:24.
On the boys side, Ryan Way won the varsity race with a time of 17:17. Reeds Spring’s Tony Miceli finished second (18:48). Philip Canfield of Republic was 3rd (19:32), and Cameron O’Dell was fourth (20:57).

The night also featured a middle school cross country meet. Brylee Manes, Desinee Tyk, Taytum Carter, Lacee Walcher, Anna Jones, and Morgan Prunty, all from Republic, took the top six spots. For the boys, Republic’s Chad Parker was the winner, with Jeremy Miller and Owen Davis also finishing in the top six.
