IMG 8091 LRepublic’s tennis team evened its record at 2-2 Tuesday, with a 7-2 win over Hillcrest Tuesday.

In singles, Republic’s winners were Will Hyde, Eddy Elivo, Ryan Engert, Bradley Hendrix, and Cory Harris. In doubles, the teams of Elivo/Engert and Hendrix/Bandfield were winners.

Hillcrest’s Alvin Robertson didn’t play because of illness, causing the Hornets to forfeit two matches (the singles match against Harris and the doubles match against Elivo/Engert).

In the number one singles match, friends and training partners Michael Nacy of Republic and Dalis Feemster squared off, with Feemster taking an 8-4 decision.

Hyde moved the ball well corner-to-corner in his victory at the number-two slot. The Republic three through five singles did not drop a game.

Hillcrest falls to 0-2 on the season.
