Lady Tigers Take 3rd; Stanfield Wins 4 Events

For Stanfield, it was the best day yet in what has been a spectacular start for her freshman season. She won the 100-, 200-, and 400-meter runs, and also won the high jump. Stanfield finished more than a second ahead of her nearest competitor in the 200-meter dash, and 1.85 seconds ahead of the runner-up in the 400-meter dash.

Hergesheimer won the 1600-meter run in 5:34.03 and the 3200-meter run in 12:12.42–a full 30 seconds ahead of the runner-up.

Kreul won the discus throw with a toss of 118’6″. She also finished 4th in the shot put.

On the boys’ side, the Tigers finished 8th with a few bright spots. They were led by Garrett Metscher, who won the high jump with a leap of 6’5″. He also took 3rd in the triple jump and 4th in the long jump.

Tryston Ellison finished 2nd in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.72.

Gus Carter finished 4th in the shot put.
