Normandy will face a highly ranked team of Bulldogs for a 2nd game in a row, when they meet Sikeston in the semifinals. But if won-loss records intimidate the Vikings, they didn’t let it show in their quarterfinal win over 24-3 Mexico. Normandy’s quickness and relentless defensive pressure helped them to upset the favored Bulldogs, and now they’ll try to do the same thing again against Sikeston.
The Vikings don’t have a player averaging double figures in scoring. But Kevin McLemore (9.7 ppg) and Gerard Fuller (9.5 ppt) come close. The Vikings also shoot 46% from beyond the three-point arc as a team.
