The Eagles are making their second straight appearance in the Show-Me Showdown, having finished 3rd last season. Like Republic, their success stems largely from the defensive end of the floor.
This year’s roster includes nine seniors from last year’s Final Four squad, but the big load offensively is 6’6″ junior Brinkley Jolly. Jolly has been a dominating force in the paint at times, but he can range outside and hit an occasional 3-pointer, as well, making him a tough matchup defensively.
The nine seniors include three-year starting point guard Jake Hanson, who directs the offense and led the team with 52 3-pointers this season.
Senior guard Zach Starr will spearhead the defensive effort, and also averages double figures in scoring with 10.5 ppg.
