The Republic wrestling team is having a good day at one of the biggest tournaments of the year. Through mid-afternoon, the Tigers were third out of more than 20 teams competing in the Kinloch Classic at Parkview.
“I’m pleased with where we’re at right now. All of our senior wrestlers have been wrestling well and winning like they should be winning,” says coach Jerry Morton.
Morton says with a freshman-heavy lineup like the one he brought to Parkview, a top ten finish would be a good performance for the Tigers.
Carthage is on top in team points, and Seneca is second. Ozark is fourth, right behind Republic.
The tournament continues through Friday.
