Kerik Crouse took first place in the 170-pound division at Republic’s season-opening tournament in Bolivar, and the Tigers finished 6th overall. Crouse won his division by defeating Skyler Bloomer of Carthage 9-3 in the championship match. Crouse also captured the 100th win of his career during the tournament.
Three Tigers placed 2nd in their brackets: Cody Sandridge at 138, Kyle Campbell at 152, and Dustin Eby at 182.
Brandon O’Connell took 3rd in the 113-pound division. Justin Rogers (106) and Tanner Willis (120) finished 4th.
Paden Lucero finished 5th at 145. Eli Davidson (126) and Blake Wojciechowski (195) were both 6th. James Walters was 8th at 132 and Will Morris (220) and Shayne Piles (285) were both 9th overall in their divisions.
