Republic’s COC matchup with tennis power Branson did not go as well as the Lady Tigers had hoped. Republic managed only one win against the powerful Lady Pirates squad, falling 8-1 Thursday.
The long winner for Republic was Ta’lor Sandul, who won her match against Kellie Seaman 8-5. Republic’s #1 singles player, Samantha Minor, was the only other player to come close to a win. She pushed Taylor Johnston to the limit but lost 9-8 in a tiebreaker.
Republic turns around quickly for a tournament today at Nixa.
