Republic’s top two high school runners placed in the top 5 at the Nixa cross country meet Thursday. Freshman Megan Hergesheimer took fourth in the varsity race with a time of 19:17.32. Ryan Way took 5th with a time of 16:18.55.
Thirteen schools competed in the event. Nixa and Carthage placed 1-2 in the boys division overall. Ozark and Branson were 1-2 among the girls.
