The Republic Lady Tigers came from behind to force overtime, but ended up losing their regular season finale at Greenwood, 3-2.
Neither team scored early, but Greenwood broke on top with about 30 seconds left in the first half. The Blue Jays took a 2-0 lead in the second half before Republic scrapped its way back.
The Lady Tigers got on the scoreboard first on a goal from Sierra Casagrand with about 14 minutes left in regulation. Seven minutes later, Sara Marcotte scored on a penalty kick, and the teams were tied when the second half ended.
Greenwood won the game in sudden death with about two minutes remaining in the first overtime period.
In the JV game, Republic led 1-0 until a late goal by Greenwood in the final 20 seconds of regulation forced a tie.
