Samantha Minor and Sierra Casagrand scored two goals apiece as the Lady Tigers beat Central 5-3 Tuesday night at Republic.
After Central controlled play in the early part of the first half but failed to score, Republic drew first blood when Casagrand scored on a cross by Minor. The Lady Tigers extended their lead to 2-0 when Minor took a cross from Sara Marcotte and found the back of the net.
After Central’s Aspen Hawkins scored to cut the lead to 2-1, Casagrand scored her second goal unassisted for the Lady Tigers from about 20 yards out. Minor followed with her second goal, also unassisted. Marcotte scored on a penalty kick with about 12 minutes remaining to extend the lead to 5-1.
Hawkins scored two late goals for Central to complete a hat trick, making the final score 5-3.
