The Republic Lady Tigers tennis team beat Rogersville 7-2 Thursday, but sometimes scores can be deceiving. The outcome was much closer than the final score indicated, with several close matches going Republic’s way.
The Lady Tigers used two big comebacks to help them pick up the victory. In singles action, Danielle Hopkins was down 4 games to 7, but managed to pull out a 9-7 victory over Micayla Miles. In doubles, Jordan Jones and Hayley Walser trailed 7-8, but forced a tie-breaker, which they won 7-4.
The win keeps the Lady Tigers undefeated for the season. Here are the results:
