Lady Tigers Kick Autism, Then Kick Neosho

The Lady Tigers soccer team raised more than $5,000 for the fight against autism with their “Attack Autism” game Wednesday night. And they made it a double victory when they defeated visiting Neosho 3-0.

The “Attack Autism” game had been postponed by bad weather twice. When it finally happened, Republic controlled the action most of the way.

Republic broke on top with a goal by Sara Marcotte midway through the first half. Tabby Iles broke free a few minutes later, and scored to make the score 2-0. It stayed that way until a 2nd-half penalty kick by Marcotte accounted for the final Republic goal.

The Lady Tigers rebounded from an 8-0 loss to Nixa on Tuesday.
