The Republic Lady Tigers got 17 points from Alice Heinzler and 16 from Sarah Kruel in a 60-45 win over McDonald County Friday night. Republic led most of the way, in a game that was slowed by 41 total foul calls.
Republic led 19-12 after one quarter. McDonald County cut the lead to one point at 24-23, but the Lady Tigers rallied to extend their lead back to seven at halftime, 30-23.
Republic pushed its lead to 46-33 at the end of three periods, and outscored McDonald County 14-11 in the fourth quarter to account for the final score.
Brooke Dutton had 9 points for the Lady Tigers. Payton Rayl, Kyla Fieth, Kyra Ramsey and Alex Botkin scored four apiece, and Emily McDaniel added two.
The Lady Tigers are 9-4. McDonald County is 7-5. Republic will travel to Webb City to take on the state-ranked Lady Cardinals in a COC matchup Monday night.
