The Republic Lady Tigers rebounded from a loss to Mount Vernon with a blowout win over Cassville Monday, 72-45. Eleven players scored for Republic, as they improved to 3-1.
Republic led 13-6 after one quarter, but outscored Cassville 16-3 in the second quarter to take a 29-9 lead into the half.
Kyra Ramsey had 12 points to lead the Lady Tigers. Payton Rayl had 10 points. Kayce Duvall had 9, and Alex Botkin, Jayme Sifferman and Courtney Gardner had 8 apiece.
Republic’s JV team got a big lead, then backed into a zone defense for the entire second half, on the way to an 88-12 victory.
