The Republic Tigers nicked Reeds Spring into submission Friday night, in a 60-38 win. Nick Yocum scored 19 points and Nick Dibben added 16 to dominate the offensive output for Republic.
The Tigers also used strong defense to hold Reeds Spring to single digits in scoring in three of the four quarters. Republic trailed 8-5 after the first period. But the Tigers caught fire in the second quarter, outscoring the Wolves 25-9. Republic led 30-17 at the half.
In the third quarter, Republic extended its lead to 48-29, and they cruised the rest of the way.
In addition to the two Nicks, seven others scored for Republic. Cody Geiger added six points. Grant Hancock, Quinton Bailey, and Jake Fletcher had four apiece. Jonathan Combs scored three points, and Marcus Miller and Dalton Fanning scored two each.
Austin Selby scored 13 to lead the Wolves.
Republic improves to 10-4 this season. Reeds Spring falls to 9-5.
