It took three quarters, but Republic finally heated up and pulled away from Skyline for a 55-39 win in the Blue & Gold tournament’s opening round.
Republic pulled away in the second half for a 56-39 win over Glendale to open the Pink & White Lady Classic. Jazzy Kirby led Republic with 11 points.
After doing some research, I believe 13 three-pointers in a game is a new school record. The 2013-14 state champs made 12 in a game three different times, but never got 13. Nobody else can recall a game with 13, so until I hear otherwise, I’ll list 13 as the single-game record.
