Academic All-State Track Athletes Recognized

Twenty-two Republic track and field athletes have been named Academic All-State by the Missouri Track & Cross Country Coaches Association, recognizing their work in the classroom alongside their performances on the track.

To qualify, an athlete must have competed in the state series — districts, sectionals, or the state meet — and hit at least one of three academic marks: a 25 or higher on the ACT, an 1150 or higher on the SAT, or a 3.6 cumulative unweighted GPA through the spring semester. Each honoree was nominated by their head coach.

Nine Lady Tigers earned the award: Allison Burford, Emma Ellison, Zoey Johns, Tori Johnson, Maura Lander, Avery Rossow, Josie Stalzer, Olivia Stenger, and Reese Tate.

Thirteen Tigers were honored on the boys side: Derek Argaez, Trenten Coleman, Baelor Cutbirth, Danny Fair, Treyton Gray, Remington Hart, Alex Johnson, Tucker Ladd, Kaleb Norman, Joshua Obafemi-Ajayi, Will Payne, Zachary Smith, and AJ Uhl.
