Ekene Chukwu finished seventh in the Class 5 discus, earning a state medal with a throw of 48.11 meters (157 feet, 10 inches).
3:05 PM — 200m Dash Final | Results
Alex Johnson finished 14th in the Class 5 200-meter dash with a time of 21.99.
2:15 PM — 4x100m Relay | Results
Republic’s 4×100-meter relay team of Jacob Duran, Gavin Lawhon, Treyton Gray, and Alex Johnson finished 12th in Class 5 with a time of 42.72.
1:40 PM — Competition Resuming
The weather delay has ended, and spectators are being allowed back into the stadium. Competition is expected to resume at approximately 1:50 p.m.

7:40 PM — Saturday Schedule Set
The two-day state track meet will be run entirely on Saturday, starting at 9am. The meet will run on a rolling schedule, one event after the other. Republic’s three races will be run without prelims, as two-heat finals only.
12:40 PM — Friday Events Cancelled
MSHSAA has cancelled all events for Friday at the state track meet. They will run everything tomorrow and release a schedule later today. I’ll update that schedule here when I have it.

Republic’s Scheduled Events
Republic sends eight athletes to the Class 5 state track and field meet, which begins Friday in Jefferson City. I’ll have live coverage all weekend, so check back often. This is the order of events, but there is no set schedule because the events will be started on a rolling schedule, one after the other.
