Lucas Riffe won the No. 1 singles flight at the Waynesville Invitational on Saturday, leading Republic to a third-place tie with Lebanon. Forsyth claimed the team title, and Rolla was second.
Riffe, the top seed, has just one loss this season. He opened with an 8-5 win over Waynesville and beat Forsyth 8-1. In the deciding match against Lebanon’s Conor McGruder, Riffe trailed 4-7 before winning five straight games to take it 9-7.
Nathan Henry finished 5th in No. 2 singles. Kaden Fisher and Robert Linn were fourth at No. 2 doubles.
The tournament followed a 7-2 win over Glendale earlier in the week. Republic plays at the Central Ozark Conference West Tournament next, at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield.
