Seconds — Republic’s new school record in the boys 4×100 relay, set at the Bearcat Classic in Bolivar on Monday. What makes it remarkable: it was the second school record in four days. Jacob Duran, Treyton Gray, and Alex Johnson were on both squads — first with Tucker Ladd (43.11 at Christian County on Friday), then with Gavin Lawhon. The previous record of 43.44 had stood since 2018.

The margin of Republic’s 21-0 win over Central on April 14 — the largest in program history. Drake Dishman earned his first career varsity win in the blowout, striking out seven in four innings of one-hit ball. Republic sent 16 batters to the plate in the first inning alone.

Meters on Izaiah Hull’s javelin throw at the Bearcat Classic on Monday — a new school record. Hull’s personal-best bettered Cooper Douglas’s previous mark of 53.01 set in 2023 by more than a meter, earning him a runner-up finish in a field from 23 schools.

First-place finishes by Republic freshmen at the Jason Pyrah Invitational at Willard on Thursday. Maura Lander won the triple jump at 10.67 meters, and Reese Tate set a new personal record of 3.2 meters to take the pole vault title — both in their first varsity season.

The tiebreaker score in Lucas Riffe’s Flight 1 singles championship match at the Republic Invitational on April 17. Riffe beat William Hein of Springfield Catholic to claim what is believed to be the first Republic Invitational singles title ever won by a Republic player. He won his opening matches 8-1 and 8-3 before closing it out in the tiebreaker.

The number of teams competing at the Missouri State Bowling Championships in Cape Girardeau on May 23 — and Republic is one of them. The varsity squad includes seniors Peyton Ash, Jayse Place, and Cooper Pilkinton.
