AJ Uhl carried Republic’s offense through key stretches of a difficult semifinal matchup at the Blue & Gold Tournament, scoring 24 of the Tigers’ 49 points in a 57–49 loss to Willard at the Blue & Gold Tournament.
Uhl scored seven of Republic’s 11 first-quarter points as the Tigers built a narrow early lead. After Willard used a 15–4 run to take a 25–15 halftime advantage, Uhl accounted for 10 points in the third quarter as Republic made its push back into the game.
He continued to attack in the fourth quarter, scoring five more points as the Tigers closed the gap to one possession late. Uhl finished with 10 made two-point field goals and added a three-pointer, accounting for nearly half of Republic’s points. That effort against Willard is our Performance of the Week.
