The number of touchbacks kicked by Elijah Phiri during the Tigers’ win over Joplin. That ties Phiri for the third-most touchbacks — kickoffs into the end zone — in a single game among games recorded on the MSHSAA website.

The number of tackles recorded by Kaleb Norman in the game against Joplin. While there is no single-game school record for tackles listed in the Republic record books, Norman’s 15-tackle effort far outdistanced any other recorded defensive night in recent years. Nobody else had even reached double-digit tackles since 2023. The highest single-game total in recent years had been 13 by Kendell Curbow that same season.

The number of kills per set by junior Reese Finley for the Lady Tigers volleyball team. Finley is second behind Kate Mitchell in total kills, and she’s doing it while also handling half the team’s setting duties and excelling on defense from her time in the back row. Finley has districted 199 assists, just behind Chloe Pullan’s 208. She’s also second on the team in digs per set, with 2.6.

The number of consecutive shutouts posted by the Republic soccer team. That’s a school record for consecutive clean sheets for the Tigers, who had never posted more than three shutouts in a row before. That happened back in 2023, when Republic shut out Camdenton, Branson, and Parkview on consecutive games, then nearly stretched the streak to four before losing in overtime to Carl Junction, 1-0. In all, Republic’s opponents have not scored for about 390 minutes of game action, dating back to an early goal by Nixa in a 1-0 Eagles win on September 19.

The number of medals won by the Republic cross country team at its home meet this week. Brylie Harris finished first in the girls race to lead the way for the Lady Tigers. Lucas Riffe finished third to become the top finisher for the Republic boys. Eight runners in each race finished in the top 25 to earn medals.
