Springfield Catholic broke a scoreless tie about 10 minutes into the game when Tyler Holum found the back of the net, then added another first-half goal by Luke Butler to double the margin by halftime. Holum’s second goal in the second half made it 3-0, accounting for the final margin.
The Irish remain unbeaten at 3-0. Republic falls to 1-3.
