Republic Golf Season Gets Delayed Open at Bolivar Tournament (Photos)

Republic’s golf team finally teed off its 2025 season at the Bolivar Tournament Tuesday, posting a team score of 333 at Silo Ridge Country Club after last week’s scheduled opener at the MSU Relays was canceled due to rain.

Cason Bekemeier led the Tigers with an 80, while Ryder Edmonds followed closely with an 81. Porter Bollinger contributed an 84, David Hayes shot an 88, and Luke Heavin rounded out Republic’s scoring with a 90.

The tournament marked Republic’s first completed competition of the season after players attempted to battle through several hours of rain at last week’s event before officials ultimately called it off.
