Republic enters the Class 6 District 5 basketball tournament as the third seed, with games scheduled to begin Wednesday, March 5 at Nixa High School.
The Tigers will face sixth-seeded Ozark (13-12) in the quarterfinals at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Republic is 21-4 with one regular-season game remaining.
Nixa earned the top seed with a 22-2 mark, followed by second-seeded Kickapoo at 22-3. Fourth-seeded Glendale (11-11) will play fifth-seeded Branson (13-12) in the 5:30 p.m. quarterfinal on Wednesday. Seventh-seeded Joplin (9-16) takes on Kickapoo at 7 p.m., while Nixa faces eighth-seeded Neosho (8-17) at 4 p.m.
Semifinal action is scheduled for Friday, March 7, with the Nixa/Neosho winner facing the Glendale/Branson winner at 6 p.m. The Kickapoo/Joplin and Republic/Ozark winners will meet in the second semifinal at 7:30 p.m.
The championship game is set for Monday, March 10, at 6 p.m.
