The Republic swim team broke three school records Saturday at the Southwest Missouri Invitational finals in Springfield. Freshman Elise Replogle led the way with a fourth-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly and a 10th-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Freshman Amelia Beaver set a new school record in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing first in the consolation final and seventh overall with a time of 1:07.65.
The Lady Tigers’ 200-yard freestyle relay team of Aubree Tinsley, Beaver, Sara Chism, and Replogle set a new school mark of 1:50.83. The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Tinsley, Mei Pruett, Beaver, and Replogle also established a new record with a time of 4:11.41.
Replogle’s time in the 100-yard butterfly championship final was 1:06.92. She finished the 100-yard breaststroke consolation final in 1:14.15.
The team will learn its state qualifiers February 16.
