CJ Uhl put started 2025 with a bang. The senior center scored a career-high 20 points Friday to lead Republic past Waynesville 63-48, helping the Tigers improve to 11-0 – their best start in more than 30 years.
Uhl dominated in every aspect of the game during his 21 minutes on the court. He shot 61.5% from the field (8-for-13), grabbed 11 rebounds, and went 4-for-5 from the free throw line. He also contributed two assists to go along with two steals on the defensive end.
“CJ did a nice job. He’s earned the right to get more touches, and I thought our kids did a good job of finding him,” coach Tim Brown said. “It’s good to see him score the basketball at such a high rate.”
Uhl’s career night, coming on the heels of Republic’s Blue & Gold Tournament championship and helping continue one of the best starts in program history, is our Performance of the Week.
