Ten Republic Tigers earned first- or second-team Southwest Missouri Football Coaches Association all-area recognition in Class 5, with six more receiving honorable mention.
First-team offense selections included junior lineman Landon Harper, senior tight end CJ Uhl, and junior quarterback Preston McCracken. McCracken led Republic’s offense in multiple ways, passing for 448 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 1,262 yards and 22 touchdowns. Uhl caught eight passes for 166 yards and a touchdown.
On defense, Republic placed three players on the first team. Senior Logan Hunt (36 tackles, 3 tackles for loss) earned recognition on the defensive line. Junior linebacker Kaleb Norman led the team with 65 tackles and added 9 tackles for loss. Sophomore defensive back Keiran Govan recorded 54 tackles.
Second-team selections included junior offensive lineman Chance Gimlin, senior running back Mason Fleetwood, junior kicker Elijah Phiri, and senior linebacker Cam Allen. Fleetwood rushed for 731 yards and seven touchdowns. Phiri connected on 51 of 55 extra points. Allen finished with 57 tackles, including 11 for loss.
Honorable mention recognition went to receiver Cannon Ellison (6 catches, 140 yards, 5 TDs), running back Izaiah Hull (892 yards, 9 TDs), and offensive lineman Clinton Smith on offense. Defensive honorable mention selections were defensive back Gavin Lawhon (41 tackles), linebacker Ethan Montiel (35 tackles), and defensive end Grayson Hart (51 tackles, 11 for loss).
